In 2017 DARPA provided initial funding for Brain-Stimulating research for speed learning with the idea that this kind of stimulation would “enhance learning and accelerate training for skills relevant to national security missions.” DARPA teamed up with several research locations to further explore these possibilities of which many are employing the extensive use of the Digitimer DS8R to help focus and drive the details of the research. Some of the research makes use of the DS8R’s ability to stimulate using its unique “Russian Stimulation” frequency firmware and connectivity to third party programming software including Matlab, Labjack, Python, and others.
