Key Enhancements to the Updated Bipolar Probe
Wider Tip Exposure for Improved Performance:
The original DS7AP-DP probes featured two parallel 70mm insulated tips, with only a 1mm uninsulated section and a 0.5mm gap between tips. Some surgeons found this narrow spacing challenging, often manually widening the gap before surgery.
The updated DS7AP-DP2 probe addresses this by increasing the separation to 1mm and extending the uninsulated tip length to 2mm, improving current flow and reducing tip impedance. This refinement minimizes the chance of stimulation failures due to high impedance or short-circuiting on saline-moistened skin.
Smooth Transition to the New Probe
Regulatory Compliance: Manufactured in the same facility under the same regulatory
certifications, current users of DS7AP-DP probes can seamlessly switch to the updated DS7AP-DP2 version.
